World Youth Clubs’ Newest Global Ambassadors: Retief Goosen & Dr. Mona Dixon

World Youth Clubs is thrilled to welcome two remarkable leaders to our Global Ambassador family: Retief Goosen, legendary professional golfer, and Dr. Mona Dixon, nationally recognized youth advocate and trailblazer. Each has an extraordinary story of perseverance and achievement that makes them powerful role models for young people.  

Few athletes have a story like Retief Goosen, nicknamed “The Goose." After surviving a near-fatal lightning strike as a youth, he rose to the top of his sport, earning 38 professional victories and 30 amateur titles, and competing in three worldwide tours, which has given him a truly global experience. His influence extends beyond the golf course, supporting projects and programs through the Retief Goosen Charitable Foundation. 

Dr. Mona Dixon’s journey is nothing short of heroic. Homeless until the age of 13, she transformed hardship into triumph, becoming the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year. That honor led her to the White House, where President Obama recognized her achievements and launched her into the national spotlight. Today, Mona is a powerhouse of empowerment, a nationally recognized motivational speaker. 

Together, Retief Goosen and Dr. Mona Dixon represent the spirit of World Youth Clubs. Their leadership amplifies our mission and inspires youth.
